The Invisalign Process
The Invisalign process begins with a comprehensive oral exam with Dr. Armando Reid at #TheSmileDoc. Dr. Reid will assess your oral health and decide if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign in Leander.
If you’re approved for treatment, Dr. Reid will use the impressions and scans of your mouth taken during your consultation to develop your Invisalign plan. It will usually take 2-3 weeks to design your plan, and to have your first sets of aligners sent to our office.
You’ll come back to our office once your aligners arrive, and you’ll pick them up and get instructions for wearing your aligners from Dr. Reid. Usually, each set is worn for up to 20-22 hours per day, and you’ll switch to a new set every 2 weeks, but your treatment may differ.
Then, you will simply wear your aligners as instructed. Dr. Reid will have you come in for a checkup about every 4-6 weeks. At this time, he will check your teeth to ensure your treatment is progressing properly, and he will give you your next several sets of aligners. This basic process will continue until your treatment is complete.
